I arrived in New York in September of 1977 in a '65 Plymouth Fury II, and within 24 hours I had racked up something like $200 in parking tickets. I had to junk the beloved Plymouth. Thirty years later, I drive a 1990 Honda Civic and may be getting the hang of it.
Ah, one reason your blog is so well written is finally revealed. (To me anyway...if previous posts disclosed this, I missed them.) I come back to your blog often (even sometimes while not parked!), but had to comment when I found out we both work in copy departments in the same building, though on separate floors. I hear that someone trashes our women's restroom too.
Tomm, what a coincidence! Perhaps we've jostled each other in the soup line in the cafeteria. And how funny that the burning question to emerge from that interview was: who IS trashing the ladies' room? If it's happening on your floor, too, it could be the person we'd least expect: the cleaning lady!
And thanks to Treesh and Erie for the words of praise. And to Andrew for responding.

I say the latter.
"It’s redemptive to have a practical use for the arcana of Roman Catholicism."
That is a beautiful sentence.
I like how you are both informative and generous in this interview.
